The Art of Parenting

MY “NOT SO BABY” BABY (FOR GRADE 10)

Entering the world of high school is exciting and at the same time challenging. A student will enter a new environment and face new friend, new teachers, new lessons, new rules, and many other new things.

Parent-child communication will also enter a news challenging phase. It’s quite common for teenagers at this age to prefer spending more time with their friends rather than with their parents of family. They might even ‘listen’ more to their friend suggestions.

Given this kind of circumstances, parents also need to make necessary adjustment. This seminar will discuss about challenges that out teenagers children face at this stage of development, and what roles do parents play to support them.

At this stage, they are expected to be more responsible in whatever actions that they do and decisions that they make.

In this seminar, we will discuss responsibilities that our grade 11 children face, the ups and downs and how parents can take assist their children in this stage of their life.

THE PATH OF MY CHILD’S FUTURE..WHERE DO I STAND (FOR GRADE 12)

In the last phase of high school years, a teenager is confronted with more expectations, academic included. He or she should also learn to take a bigger chunk of responsibility, that is in deciding the path of his/her own further study preference in the university.

Parents play a very important role to assist and guide their teenagers children in making the right decision.

We hope that with this seminar, parents can discuss and learn more about the dynamics of parents’ role in helping the child choose their own future based on their passion and interest.
