Coming together and meeting leaders from other schools fosters a sense of community. The joint meeting between BINUS and SEVILLA schools took place on the 26th of February 2015. Around 51 students met in the 2nd Floor Admission Building together with the Advisers and guests. Ms. Grace Hukom from the World Vision, and Mr. Erry Wijoyo and Ms. Andina from KAPETTA Foundation were invited to give a talk respectively about community service and drug addiction.
President Satria of the Binus School Interact Club welcomed everyone followed by the response from President Rebecca of the Sevilla School Interact Club. Ms. Grace Hukom on her part shared her organization’s goals and objectives. Ms. Grace presented the ongoing projects of World Vision followed by a question and answer portion. It was apparent that through this session, the club members were really inspired to work and deal with community projects as they are willing to give time to serve. KAPETTA Foundation on the other hand shares their anti-drug campaign and information about the foundation.
To prep up everybody, Noni led the Interactors through an ice breaker where everyone had a blast, resulting to a more relaxed group. The activity was then followed by a dinner and a sharing session about the different projects to be conducted and experiences as club member.
Wrapping up the meeting, Mr. Jun Malabanan, BINUS School Interact Adviser, invited the group for a campus tour and shared important information about our school. It was indeed a productive day for everyone as the group was able to come up with future plans and projects. More importantly, it was a chance to meet new friends, banded to serve more the community and country.
