BINUS YOUTH LEADER SUMMIT 2017

3rd BINUS Youth Leaders’ Summit 2017

BINUS SCHOOL Serpong’s 9th Batch of Student Council is proud to host the 3rd BINUS Youth Leaders’ Summit (BYLS) 2017. BYLS aims to provide a platform for intellectual and affective engagement amongst student leaders of like-minded schools in the interest of finding practical and sustainable solutions to national and global challenges affecting the youth of today.  The theme of current BYLS is “The Butterfly Effect: First Leap towards Greater Innovation”, meaning that our actions whether gig or small have a ripple effect which can huge impact either a small or larger group of people.

The event is held in BINUS SCHOOL Serpong, from 7 – 9 April 2017. Delegates from 9 schools in JABOTABEK discuss various important topics during the summit. These are deforestation, waste management, marine and coastal degradation, clean and renewable energy, animal abuse and extinction, child exploitation, gender inequality, cyber bullying, national health, and nutrition. BYLS also features several experts to share their knowledge.  They are Puji Maharani (Feature Editor of Femina Magazine), Resa Boenard (Founder of Kingdom BGBJ and waste management facilitator), and a former Binusian Aktsa Efendy (CEO and Co-Founder of MejaKita).

BYLS is more than a summit, it serves as a platform for like-minded youths to start making positive changes in both environment and social aspects of Indonesia. Kevin Michel aptly puts it as, “Small shifts in your thinking, and small changes in your energy, can lead to massive alterations of your end result.”
