BINUS SCHOOL Serpong is proud to host the 2nd BINUS NATIONAL INDOOR ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIP 2017. The first BINUS Archery Championship was held in 2016 and it managed to capture a lot of attention from archery enthusiasts. This sport is also one of the School Coaching Programs for MS and HS. The aim of this competition is to develop the archery skills of BINUSIANS and to build stronger relationships with other schools and archery clubs.
BINUS SCHOOL SERPONG is glad to welcome 631 archers from elementary, junior high, high school, and to general public. The championship is held in Sjuman Hall. There are six match categories, which range from elementary level, junior high level, high school level, general public, compound style to recurve style. The matches are held within three days, from Friday, April 22 to Sunday, April 24, 2017.
“The enthusiasm of current archery championship is remarkable. We have exceeded our targets for registered participants from Indonesia and Malaysia. For this prestigious championship, we have invited an International Technical Officer or international referee, Mr Johari Abu Bakar from Malaysia, who have led the Archery World Cup in several countries. It is an honor to have his presence in our school,” said Mr. Denny, as the chairman of the 2nd BINUS National Indoor Archery Championship 2017 Committee.
“Personally, I am very proud with this Archery championship held by BINUS SCHOOL. I am pleased when I saw so many young archers gathered in this competition, from elementary to general public. I think BINUS SCHOOL Serpong managed to improve and develop Indonesian youth’s interest for archery. In the future, I hope Indonesia will be known as a country with skilled archers, “commented Mr. Johari Abu Bakar, as the referee in this championship.
We are very grateful for the support and enthusiasm shown by all participants from all over Indonesia. We hope that BINUS SCHOOL Serpong may continuously improve and support the potential of Indonesian athletes.
