Last week SMP Al-Hasaniyah and SMP Falatehan came to our school to have a friendly match with our very own students, under the Adopt-a-School programme. Together with BINUS SCHOOL Serpong Student Council, the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) and support of School Management, the “Adopt-a-school” was created in 2015. The programme aims to assist less fortunate schools within the Serpong neighbourhood, and to build relationship among youth.
Since its inception, more and more students have come forward, including the Interact Club members, to work hand in hand with the Student Council in crafting activities for the two adopted schools. This time around our students held a friendly-match. The students played soccer and relay games led by Mr. Arif, Subject Head for Physical Education. All students were excited and had fun. A strong sense of teamwork can be felt amongst students.
Time given by our students is the most precious gift that they can offer. In addition, our students learnt to appreciate what they have now, radiate and give love, and be more caring. We hope through this programme, the student leaders can bless and inspire more fellow student volunteers as they commit to continue sharing their time, talent and even their treasures.
