This week is a Language Week. It’s time to celebrate world languages! Learning other languages is a good thing, especially English. Due to globalization and international business, knowing English and more language becomes necessary.
This week had great participation from EL students. We’ve arranged Interschool Speech Competition with “Are Millennials Doomed to Fail?” theme. The participants are our beloved school BINUS SCHOOL Serpong, BINUS SCHOOL Simprug, Sekolah Terpadu Pahoa, Tzu Chi School, Jakarta Nanyang School, and Global Jaya School.
It was so fun and intense, the participants are so talented. The theme of the speech competition is Millennial Generations, whether they will succeed or not. By evaluating themselves as Millennial Generations, the students prepare speech materials equipped with presentations that draw the audience’s attention. The competition which lasted for approximately 3 hours is also interspersed with talent show from BINUS SCHOOL Serpong students to entertain the participants as well as the audience.
Some of them gave the same perspective about millennial generations that are lazy, impatient and entitled. Well, like everyone has gadgets and always busy with their phone instead of doing something. But they are all agreed, just like any other generation, the Millennial Generation has its own challenges for the future. Millennial generations can certainly succeed in their talents.
The competition won by Florence Sophia Mercado Deogrades 6B and Adeline Ivanna Liora 6A as the 3rd winner from BINUS SCHOOL Serpong. BINUS SCHOOL Serpong hopes that the competition between schools can strengthen the relationships between students.
