Working together with Confusius Institute, ECY/EL BINUS SCHOOL Serpong introduces the fascinating art of Chinese Calligraphy

Every year, during Chinese New Year celebration, BINUS SCHOOL Serpong’s ECY/EL Mandarin Department makes various activities to introduce Chinese culture. This year was no different. Several activities were done during the week of 19th – 23rd February from Chinese Traditional Games, Chinese Instrument Exhibition, Chinese Cutting Paper, Chinese Mask Exhibition to CNY Assembly. The highlight of the week was the Chinese Calligraphy Workshop.

Working together with Confucius Institute (a non-profit public education organization affiliated with the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China), BINUS SCHOOL Serpong held a free Calligraphy Workshop for EL 3 to EL 6 students. Within two days, students were engaged, they tried and practiced calligraphy with overwhelming excitement. Moreover, one delegate showed Kungfu and Taichi skills during the Chinese New Year Assembly.

On Friday, 23rd February, both institutions (BINUS SCHOOL Serpong Management as well as Confucius Institute’s Director) had a pleasant meeting and an appreciation luncheon where both sides briefly presented respective profiles and expressed mutual expectation of further cooperation.
