Chinese New Year Celebration 2017

Happy Chinese New Year 2017 to those who celebrate it!  Xin nian kuai le wan shi ru yi! Gong xi fa cai! You will make great fortune through your hard work and perseverance in this year of the Golden Rooster.

BINUS SCHOOL Serpong turned into a sea of red as the students celebrated Chinese New Year yesterday. The theme of the celebration was “We are one family”. The theme was chosen to celebrate BINUSIAN family’s unity in diversity. The celebration was also held as part of cultural enrichment activities for the students.

The ECYEL shows were successful and engaged the ECY and EL students. The hard work of the Mandarin Department teachers with the leadership of Ms. Linda paid off! Every student was truly entertained by the performances prepared by their peers. Dancing and singing performances were a hit but there was also story telling by Ms. Elsie (ECYEL Principal), as well as the very energetic wushu and dragon dances. Some of our teachers also performed as barongsai (lion dancers) to entertain the students. From their outstanding performance, the students were very generous and so excited to give them some Hong Bao.
