ECY/EL Students Celebrate The Year of The Dog
Continuing the hype of cultural celebration, the ECY/EL students appreciated and embraced unity in diversity by celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year. They celebrated it with special performances which involved singing, dancing, wushu and also wearing Chinese Cultural clothes and the auspicious red color. The ECY/EL students’ performances were great, they all showcased their talents and skills! At the end of the assembly, they ended up with an entertaining lion and dragon dance led by EL 5-6 students! This year, they had two girls joining the lion and dragon dance which was a refreshing change from previous years.
“Everyone is always excited about something new like new clothes, new stuff, especially New Year. But above all the new things, we must to remember that we have to be renewed too. We have to be better, think better, and do better,” said Ms. Elsie. In order to be better, we have to think better too. We can start from small things in everyday life. Are you ready to be better?
May this New Year bring many opportunities your way, to explore every joy of life. And may your resolutions for the days ahead stay firm, turning all your dreams into reality and all your efforts into great achievements.
