Boost Your Child’s Self-Confidence
Self-confidence comes from a sense of competence. A confident child needs a positive and realistic perception of his or her abilities. Children’s self-confidence always starts from the family at home. By encouraging words can develop their confidence.
Here are some tips to help build self-confidence in your child:
- Don’t Rescue Your Child
It’s natural to want to prevent your child from getting hurt, feeling discouraged, or making mistakes, kids need to know that it’s okay to fail, and that it’s normal to feel sad, anxious, or angry. They need to learn to succeed by overcoming obstacles and failures. - Love Them
Nobody’s perfect but we still can love them with all our heart. They need to feel accepted and loved. Unconditional love builds a strong foundation for confidence. - Let Them Make Decisions
They will gain confidence in their own good judgement, don’t have too much control on them.
Because children learn more from what we are, than what we teach. So, for everything we do for our kids, we have to do it with love and patience. They deserved our love and attention.
