Independence Day 2020
17th of August is our Independence Day, the day we pay respect to our beautiful nation. Today we cherish the ones who made our independence possible. Today we celebrate the glory of freedom.
Gaining independence is not an easy thing that was obtained by our heroes of old. That’s why remembering our history is extremely important. 75 years ago, our first President Ir. Soekarno proclaimed our independence. We must be proud of their battle for Indonesia.
So today, ECY-EL-MS-HS students celebrated Independence Day by singing the National Anthem and learning about the history of the Proclamation of Independence online. They also had a virtual Flag Raising Ceremony and sang the Indonesian National Anthem. We’re really proud to see them enthusiastically participating in this event.
Let’s celebrate our Independence and continue to celebrate it everyday. Happy Independence Day! Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!
