Learning is Better When It Sparks Joy

Some people might tell you that learning is a trade-off: students can be happy, or they can be high-achieving, but not both. At BINUS School Serpong, we strongly disagree with that sentiment and the research agrees with us. When students feel engaged, happy, and understand why they're learning, they don't just enjoy school more. They achieve more. Joy and academic success don't compete, in fact, they raise each other.

This is the SPIRIT of Fun in practice at BINUS School Serpong it is a daily habit. It's in the way our teachers and principals greet every student by name each morning. It's in the laughter that spills into the corridors between lessons. It's the small, genuine humour and student agency woven into how we teach, because a classroom that feels human is one where students actually want to think hard and understand the purpose of their learning.

Fun isn't the opposite of rigour. It’s the medium through which we learn.
