At BINUS SCHOOL Serpong, our Robotics and STEM Programme gives students opportunities to become creators, designers, problem-solvers, and innovators.

Through hands-on learning, students apply concepts from Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to authentic challenges that require them to think critically, collaborate, experiment, and develop solutions.

Rather than simply learning how technology works, students are encouraged to use technology purposefully, design with intention, and create solutions to real-world problems.

Learning Through Design and Innovation

Our STEM approach emphasizes inquiry, experimentation, and project-based learning.

Students may engage in activities involving robotics, coding, engineering, electronics, design, data, and scientific investigation, depending on their age and level of study.

Through these experiences, students learn to:

Identify and investigate problems
Develop and test ideas
Apply scientific and mathematical understanding
Use technology as a tool for creation and innovation
Build, prototype, evaluate, and improve solutions
Collaborate effectively with others
Learn from failure, iteration, and experimentation

We incorporate Design Thinking and the engineering design process to help students approach challenges systematically while encouraging creativity and innovation.

From Primary to Secondary

STEM learning develops progressively across the school.

Younger students begin by exploring, building, questioning, and experimenting, while older students take on increasingly complex challenges involving coding, robotics, engineering, research, and design.

This progression helps students build both technical understanding and important transferable skills such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, and perseverance.

STEM Beyond the Classroom

Learning also extends beyond regular lessons through opportunities such as:

Robotics and STEM clubs
Competitions and challenges
Student projects and exhibitions
Innovation and design activities
Collaboration with universities, organisations, and industry partners where appropriate
Enrichment experiences that expose students to emerging technologies and future career possibilities

These experiences allow students to apply what they have learned in different contexts and gain a better understanding of how STEM connects to the world around them.

Technology, artificial intelligence, engineering, and scientific innovation are rapidly changing how we live and work.

Our goal is not simply to prepare students to use new technology. We want them to understand it, question it, create with it, and think carefully about how it can be used to solve meaningful problems.

Through Robotics and STEM, students develop the confidence and skills to become curious, adaptable, ethical, and future-ready innovators.
