Break your Fast with BINUSIAN Serpong Family
Serpong, June 8, 2016 – In the blessed month of Ramadan, Moslems from around the world celebrate this humble period with a genuine heart to fast. BINUS SCHOOL Serpong invited its families to share happiness through “Buka Bersama” (Translation: Breaking the Fast together). The Religion and Civics Department worked their best in arranging this event for BINUSIAN families to receive Ramadan grace.
The event started with the opening remarks from Ms. Elsie and Ms. Sherrie to congratulate those who are celebrating Ramadan by wishing them God’s peace & grace. Then verses from the Quran and short moral teachings were given as a reminder to strengthen the BINUSIAN family’s heart during this holy month & ultimately find peace in their hearts . A couple of songs from Maher Zain were sung as well to entertain the BINUSIANS.
The Religion and Civics team have prepared a lot of traditional Ramadan treats for breaking the fast, ranging from dates, donuts, ice cendol, fritters, and siomay fishcakes. Those treats absolutely reenergized them from their fast, but what matters most was the company of others which created the joy among them.
“Don’t let your victories be the beginning of your defeats. Stay humble, stay strong and have faith.” – Sheikh AbdulBary Yahya. Ramadan is indeed the moment of togetherness, spirituality, and sharing. Ramadan Mubarak to those who celebrate it!
