Teacher’s Spotlight : Ms. Yariska Syarfuan

Hello, my name is Yariska Syarfuan. My students know me as Ms. Yariska.

I completed my Early Childhood Education Degree from a university in Australia. I have worked in other Early Childhood Education institutions before coming to BINUS SCHOOL Serpong. I have worked in BINUS SCHOOL Serpong for more than 5 years and I am proud to be an ECY Teacher.

It has always been my passion to work in Early Childhood Education. It all I started way back when I told my mother that I wanted to become a teacher one day. What I find intriguing about Early Childhood Education is how children view the world. They see the world without prejudice, judgement and are ready to explore.

I believe that each child has their own stories and ways of thinking and to be able to listen to their story is a good way to connect and guide them through learning. The way they view the world as a safe place and full of potential makes them natural born inquirers. In my classroom I tap on their curiosity and facilitate inquiry-based learning.

As a teacher I know that each child has different ways of learning and one approach doesn’t fit all. This understanding guides me in my teaching so that they can reach their fullest potential. There is never a dull moment when working with my students. The positive experience I get from teaching keeps me going. Seeing my students happy in class is simply rewarding.
