Ten promising movers and shakers from BINUS SCHOOL participated in the annual International Young Leaders Summit (IYLS) held last November 8th-10, 2022. The theme for this year was “strength in unity, creativity in diversity.

This time, all four campuses were represented with BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi leading the pack and BINUS SCHOOL Semarang sending their delegates for the first time. Our delegates from BINUS SCHOOL Simprug and BINUS SCHOOL Serpong also actively participated. Our participants were: Althaf Keanendra Djajaprawira, Maria Ivanka Aurelia, Benjamin Nathaniel Setiawan Chandra, Jeremy Lincoln Armento, Rianna Halim, Denise Didi Prasetyo, Marthasya Putri Ananta, Dhanishwara Pandyaputera Hendarmawan, Teresa Anabelle Kayla Wijaya, and Dominique Samantha Suniadji.

All student delegates tackled the five sub-themes of Culture, Environment, Education, Equality, and Health. Our young leaders enthusiastically participated in the research, discussion, and presentation of the issues, concerns, and possible solutions that directly and indirectly affect the current and future generations – a true vision and characteristics of upcoming leaders.

BINUS SCHOOL was awarded Best Orator and Benjamin Nathaniel Setiawan Chandra of BINUS SCHOOL Serpong was awarded Best Delegate.

This year’s conference was participated by five schools from five different countries: Lunhua Education (China), Nanshan High School (Taiwan), Penang Chinese Girls’ Private High School (Malaysia), Chung Cheng High School (Singapore), and BINUS SCHOOLS (Indonesia).

The event ended with the announcement that BINUS SCHOOLS will be the host of the IYLS 2023.
