Lidwina Maureen Novranto, daughter of Jurit Novranto and Maria Regina, is one of the many talented and creative 11th-grade students who participated in the recent Entrepreneurship Market Day 2023. Held at BINUS SCHOOL Serpong on Tuesday, 21 March 2023, this event was a day filled with excitement and energy for the community.

During Market Day, students were given the opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial skills by creating and managing their own businesses from scratch. They came from various high school streamings that are available at BINUS SCHOOL Serpong which are IT-Art, IT-Socio, Social, and Science. The entire process, from market research to product development, pricing strategy, and marketing, was overseen by experienced economic and business teachers who guided and encouraged the students to think outside the box.

For Novranto and Regina, seeing their daughter participate in this event was a source of pride and excitement.

They appreciated that Lidwina was not only learning the theory behind creating and marketing a product but also had the chance to put it into practice. They believe that this event is an excellent opportunity for students to gain real-world experience before they step into society.

During the preparation for Entrepreneurship Day 2023, Lidwina and her classmates worked hard to manage their group’s business correctly. They conducted market research and asked their own parents for useful tips on how to sell their products. As supportive parents, Novranto and Regina provided the necessary space for conducting product tests and gave professional business advice to their daughter’s group.

“As parents, we couldn’t just sit back and do nothing. We provided them with a place to conduct various tests and also took out some time to offer them professional business advice,” said Novranto, while Regina nodded enthusiastically. She chimed in, “Since their products are mainly homemade food, the students require a lot of cooking tips to ensure quicker service. Therefore, it’s crucial for them to learn how to prepare the food efficiently.”

Lidwina’s participation in the event made her parents feel proud, and they believe that this event will help Lidwina and other students gain valuable experience and knowledge that they can apply to their future endeavors.
