The Importance of Reading, Technology, and Writing: Philip Randall, A Passionate Educator

Philip Randall is an exceptional educator with an unwavering passion for English Literature and Teaching. Phillip Randall’s passion for literature is evident in his teaching style, where he seeks to instill in his students a profound foundation for their future.

Philip comes from Michigan, United States of America, has a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), both of which have equipped him with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in his field. Philip, or commonly known as Mr. Phil has 12 years of teaching experience and has spent the last 5 years as an upper elementary English teacher at BINUS SCHOOL Serpong.

“For me, English gives students a voice,” he explained. As a teacher of a second language, Philip believes that he has the opportunity to give his students access to a better future through learning english. He understands that the ability to speak and write in English opens up countless opportunities for his students both professionally and personally. 

Reading, Technology, and Writing as Foundation of Education

In his classes, Philip places a strong emphasis on reading as a lifelong skill that is fundamental for all students. He believes that reading connects students to countless opportunities and allows them to achieve their dreams.

Aside from reading, Philip also recognizes the importance of technology in modern education. He often includes technology in his lesson plans to help his students learn more effectively. In particular, he focuses on how their words impact themselves and others, and teaches his students how to use technology to express themselves in a clear and concise manner.

In addition to reading and technology, Philip encourages his students to develop their writing skills. He believes that writing is a key skill that can grow and develop as students become older. He encourages his students to express themselves creatively and to think critically about the world around them. “Reading, technology and writing are the foundation of education in my mind,” said Philip. 

Philip Randall’s passion for teaching is driven by his desire to make a positive impact on his students’ lives. For him, education is the foundation for a better future, and he is devoted to helping his students reach their full potential. 

“With students coming from different backgrounds, I strive to pick a variety of methods that will address the goal. Having this variety will allow the students to connect with the material more deeply. In addition, with technology becoming ubiquitous in society, it is important to include activities that can further help the students create digital awareness,” Philip added.

In his classroom, he fosters a safe and nurturing environment where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas and expressing themselves. As a result, his students are enthusiastic about learning and are constantly motivated to expand their knowledge in his class.
