Philip comes from Michigan, United States of America, has a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), both of which have equipped him with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in his field. Philip, or commonly known as Mr. Phil has 12 years of teaching experience and has spent the last 5 years as an upper elementary English teacher at BINUS SCHOOL Serpong.
“For me, English gives students a voice,” he explained. As a teacher of a second language, Philip believes that he has the opportunity to give his students access to a better future through learning english. He understands that the ability to speak and write in English opens up countless opportunities for his students both professionally and personally.

“With students coming from different backgrounds, I strive to pick a variety of methods that will address the goal. Having this variety will allow the students to connect with the material more deeply. In addition, with technology becoming ubiquitous in society, it is important to include activities that can further help the students create digital awareness,” Philip added.
