For high schoolers, talent scouting is a dream come true. It is one of the pathways to be accepted into Universitas Indonesia. Thus, most have spent their high school days raking up achievements, since only a select few are chosen.

Felicia Olyviana, a BINUS SCHOOL Serpong student from class 12C IT Social Streams, was ecstatic when she found out that she had been accepted to Universitas Indonesia (UI) through talent scouting in the faculty of law. As soon as she read the news, she called her best friend who was studying in the UK and they cried together over video call. She also went to her parents and they shared a moment of joy and celebration.

As Felicia prepared to start her journey at Universitas Indonesia, she reached out to her juniors and shared her experience. She urged them to make the most of their time.

“Don’t ever go through a situation when you feel like you have to regret something or you regretted doing something. If there’s an opportunity that you can take, just do it.” She knew that talent scouting was a challenging process, but it was worth the effort as talent scouting secured her place in one of the most prestigious universities in Indonesia. 

Moreover, Kania Dewi Hariani, a BINU SCHOOL Serpong student from class 12E Science Stream, was also accepted to Universitas Indonesia through talent scouting. She had always dreamed of studying psychology at UI and was overjoyed when she received the news.

The reason why Felicia and Kania were selected for talent scouting by Universitas Indonesia was due to their commitment and effort during their time at BINUS SCHOOL Serpong. Their outstanding academic achievements made them suitable candidates for the talent scouting programme.

They had to work hard to find a balance between their academic studies, extracurricular activities, and rest time, but their efforts were rewarded when they received talent scouting from one of Indonesia’s top universities.

In the midst of their journey, Kania and Felicia frequently experience fatigue and stress. Yet, they possess their own secret weapons to conquer these challenges. Kania harnesses the power of rest, meticulously crafting a list of work priorities during downtime, enabling her to conquer chaos with ease. Meanwhile, Felicia embraces the art of self-care, gracefully knowing her limits and taking a strategic pause whenever the need arises.

Both Felicia and Kania’s acceptance to Universitas Indonesia through talent scouting serves as a reminder to BINUS SCHOOL Serpong students that they should always strive to pursue their dreams and take advantage of every opportunity that comes their way.
