Serpong, South Tangerang – Every extraordinary journey begins with a dream. For Kalya, a student at BINUS SCHOOL Serpong, that dream was never merely wishful thinking, but a goal she has relentlessly pursued since her early secondary school years.

Through hard work, the courage to grow, and the support of the right educational environment, Kalya has achieved an outstanding milestone by earning admission offers from seven prestigious universities around the world: University College London (UCL), King’s College London, The University of Edinburgh, Kyoto University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The University of Hong Kong, and Universitas Indonesia.

“It all started when I was in junior high school and often saw seniors opening their university acceptance letters. That was when I became inspired to achieve the same thing,” Kalya shared.

Her motivation grew even stronger in 2025 when she joined an immersion program in England and had the opportunity to visit several leading universities there. “I was truly excited being there and really wanted to study at those universities,” she added.

Today, Kalya’s dream has become a remarkable reality. Receiving offers from seven distinguished institutions worldwide is not only extraordinary in quantity, but also reflects the academic excellence and character she has developed over many years.

Among the universities, University College London stands out as one of the world’s most prestigious institutions, consistently ranking among the top 10 universities globally across major international rankings, making it one of the most competitive study destinations in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, Kyoto University is recognized as the second-best university in Japan and one of Asia’s leading research institutions.

Kalya’s journey at BINUS SCHOOL Serpong has been a long and meaningful one. She has been part of the BINUS SCHOOL Serpong community since first grade, completing her entire academic journey from elementary school through high school within the institution. More than a decade of learning has shaped her into a resilient, globally minded individual who is ready to compete on the international stage. The BINUS SCHOOL Serpong graduation ceremony on May 9, 2026, marks not only the end of her school years, but also the beginning of a much greater chapter ahead.

The road to this achievement, however, was not always smooth. Kalya admitted that there was a time when her fear of failure prevented her from actively participating in school activities.

“In tenth grade, I began stepping out of my comfort zone and taking more opportunities, such as joining school clubs, participating in school events, and getting involved in many other activities. From there, I realized that failure is not something to fear, but something to reflect on and learn from for the future,” she said confidently.

Kalya’s success was also supported by BINUS SCHOOL Serpong through its University Preparation Program. Starting from Grade 9, students are guided to discover their “best fit,” ensuring alignment between their individual potential and the university environment that will best support their future aspirations.
